Play as Vergil
To play as Vergil simply press the start button on the 2nd controller on the mission Vergil helps you defeat Demon Arkham.

Unlock Everything (DMC3 Spec. Ed.)
Entry Location:
Ttitle Screen
Hold R1+R2+L1+L2, then hold Left + Up on the D-pad then push the left analog stick Down and Right. Listen for the words \"DEVIL MAY CRY\" to know you\'ve done it right.

Play With 2 Players
When Dante had the ability to summon his own shadow, Use the style and press R1 + Circle to summon the shadow. The shadow will do exactly what you do, but you can also control the shadow by pressing start in controller 2. This will enable 2 players to play at the same time!
Unlockables
Unlock easy mode
When you play the game you must die three times and you will unlock easy mode.
Alternate Ending Sequence
Kill At least 100 enemies at the credits
Dante Must Die
You must beat hard mode to get Dante Must Die mode
Heaven or Hell
You must beat Dante Must Die mode to unlock Heaven or Hell.
Hard Mode
You must beat normal difficulty to get hard mode.
Play as Legendary Knight/Sparda
You must beat Hard difficulty be able to play as Sparda.
Unlimited Devil Trigger
You must complete Dante Must Die mode.
Characters
Press R1 or L1 at the mission select screen to get different characters.
Beat the game on easy for shirtless Dante
Beat the game on normal for Devil May Cry 1 Dante
Beat the game on hard for shirtless Devil May Cray 1 Dante
Beat the game on hard to unlock the Legendary Dark Knight
Beat the game on hard to unlock Sparda
Alternate Costumes
You must complete easy to unlock shirtless Dante, normal to get the original Devil May Cry Dante, and beat hard mode to unlock original shirtless Dante. Use L1 and R1 at the mission select to change.
Hints
Fully Automatic Pistols
During gameplay, take out your pistols and press square repetedly as FAST as you can...

How to Beat Cerberus
At entering the tower, you will face the 3headed dog Cerberus. It is very powerful but the strategy is simple, you just have to use dodge almost all the time to avoid his tackle. Attack him with Ebony & Ivory (fire arms) and keep ur distance, when he makes his charge attack use Rebellion (your sword) this will give more damage. When he starts throwing ice balls, you can either dodge them or hit them, if you hit them you can get extra orbs.

Devil Arms and Where to Get Them
Cerberus- Defeat Cerberus at the end of mission 3.
Agni&Rudra- Defeat Agni and Rudra at the end of mission 5.
Nevan- Defeat Nevan at the end of mission 9.
Beowulf- Defeat Beowulf at the end of mission 11, and then pick the weapon up at the start of mission 14.
Force Edge Is usable with DMC1 Dante, Coatless DMC1 Dante and LDK after unlocking them. Yamato Yamato is only usable when controlling Vergil in the boss fight in mission 19 after Dante is grabbed by the boss.

Easter Egg
Secret Numbers
On each cutscene if you look carefully you can see the numbers hidden of the level you are on, for example; on level 11 at the end when arkham has gotten up from when you thought he was dead the blood trails leave a no. 11! On level 14 at the end when Vergil falls down the hole on that hole the hole has a crack in in shaped as a no.14, look for more on other cutscenes!

Loading Screen
When the game is loading and it says Devil May Cry in the corner if you hit square you will shoot it and triangle slices it. Enjoy!
